This flight is a result of an attack on their sleeping camp. In an effort to preserve the history of the tribe and out of respect for the elderly, a young man is providing the means of escape for one of the chiefs. The frustration felt by the old man is made proof that he was a fearless fighter and a leader--and his medal was his assurance from the President of the United States that he and his people would live in peace. |
